Southwell City U9 Stars made their mark at the club’s recent presentation day, not only enjoying the festivities and parents versus kids match, but also proudly showcasing an impressive trophy collection earned over the past 12 months.
The Stars won two competitions in the summer of 2024 – winning every game in the Summer League, and also winning a tournament. During the first half of the 2024/25 season, the team continued their fine form by winning the Division 1 title with an unbeaten record. The team received the Division 1 trophy at the YEL awards ceremony at Nottingham Concert Hall in February!
Winning Division 1 also meant promotion to the Premier League for the second half of the season. Again, the boys showed great quality, mixed with commitment, confidence and control, against some of the best teams in the county, and very narrowly missed out on the title – securing a more than deserved second place finish.
The Stars continue to make great progress year on year, and have taken significant strides particularly over the past 12 months. Moreover, they continue to be a great bunch of lads to manage and coach.
