U13 Girls Step Up and Deliver

It’s been a very different season for the Southwell City U13 Girls this year. Having spent just one year at 9v9, coming runners up in Division 1, they made the big step to 11v11 in 25/26. This brought its own challenges: recruiting more players, learning to play on bigger pitches and covering more ground on match days. The coaches (Danny Weiss, Matt Jarman and Rachel Strange) were never in doubt that this talented group would step up to the mark.

After successful summer recruitment, the girls were keen to show what they could do. Despite a stop-start season due to the weather, they secured a cup final spot in April and are chasing the Division 1 title with games in hand. This is testament to their passion and ability.

The team also benefitted from a very generous sponsorship contribution from Aero EV Solutions, who provided new Nike drill tops and away shirts sourced through the SCFC club shop. We really do appreciate their support.

As part of the club’s deal with Nike, the girls have also been invited to represent SCFC at the Nike Partner Event tournament at none other than St George’s Park. Girls’ football at SCFC is definitely on the up!
