City Girls Seek New Recruits

Southwell City U9 Girls have enjoyed a remarkable season filled with development, teamwork, and plenty of smiles. This small but friendly group has made tremendous progress over the past months, demonstrating growing confidence and skill with each match they’ve played.

The team’s success has been guided by their dedicated coach Carlie Brown, who has led the squad for two seasons with enthusiasm and commitment. Under her leadership, the girls have not only improved their footballing abilities but have also formed strong friendships that extend beyond the pitch. As Carlie now moves on to a new challenge, the entire club extends its heartfelt thanks for her outstanding contribution to the team’s development.

Looking ahead to next season, incoming coach Russ Smith is eager to welcome new players as the girls step up to U10 football. “We have a fantastic foundation to build on,” says Smith. “The girls have shown great spirit and determination, and we’re excited to see how they continue to grow.”

Training sessions take place every Tuesday from 6-7pm, providing a fun and supportive environment for players of all abilities. Girls football is thriving in Southwell, and the club is keen to attract new players to take up the beautiful game.
